ABOUT SEN2
Sandro, known artistically as Sen2, was raised in Canteras, a neighborhood in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He began cultivating his passion for urban art in New York City during the early 1980s. By 1986, his creative vision had expanded significantly, leading him to produce both graffiti murals and commercial artwork. It was during this formative period that he became a member of the world-renowned graffiti collective, Tats Cru—widely regarded as one of the most influential graffiti crews in history. With Tats Cru, Sen2 traveled extensively across Europe and other parts of the globe.
Sen2’s artistic evolution has seen him transition from creating traditional wild-style graffiti pieces to producing mixed-media works on paper and canvas. His style developed from classical New York graffiti into a dynamic fusion of graphic lettering, three-dimensional elements, and abstract techniques. Each of his pieces incorporates graffiti aesthetics, serving as a homage to his roots while showcasing his ever-evolving and refined artistic identity. His work is characterized by a compelling interplay of color and motion, effectively blurring the boundaries between street art and fine art. Through this "beautiful chaos" of modern and contemporary expression, Sen2 has established a distinctive visual language.
In 2018, Sen2 was commissioned to paint eight tennis courts in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the US Open. More recently, he collaborated with the iconic pop group The Black Eyed Peas, merging his signature pop-art style with the lyrical creativity of will.i.am.
In 2023, Sen2 partnered with the New York Mets, Corona Beer, and baseball star Francisco Lindor to create the Francisco Lindor Collection, which debuted on Opening Day at Citi Field. His unique artistic approach played a significant role in elevating the collection’s branding. That same year, he collaborated with Adidas to design the artwork and branding for Real Madrid’s 2023 Soccer Champions U.S. Tour, where his distinctive aesthetic became the focal point of the team’s U.S. campaign.
In 2024, Sen2 was commissioned by Royal Caribbean to create five large-scale murals for its newest cruise ship, Star of the Seas, an 8,000-passenger vessel scheduled to sail the Caribbean in the summer of 2025.
Among Sen2’s most distinguished accomplishments is his inclusion in the permanent art collection of the Harlem offices of former U.S. President Bill Clinton—a testament to the enduring cultural significance and artistic merit of his work.
